Writing and Speaking Exam Preparation – for 4th December

This is what your written exam will look like, the questions in the speaking exam will be very similar!  Make sure that you prepare and memorise answers of at least 3 sentences for each question, you should give a statement, and opinion and a reason for your opinion.  Try to vary your vocabulary and use the future tense as well as the present tense.

 

The tick grid below is to remind you of the structures you should try to include, the ones that are shaded in you don’t need to use as we have not yet covered those in class – good luck!!

End of Term Exams – Revision (from 3/12/09)

The end of year exams begin next Thursday (3rd December).  You need to look back through your exercise books and your vocab books and revise the following topics:

  • Describing and comparing people – hair and eyes, physical  attributes, personality, etc…
  • Sports – ‘jugar’ + ball sports, ‘practicar’ + other sports
  • Hobbies – me gusta + activity
  • Food and Drink
  • Future tense

Learn the adjectives of frequency below for a test on Weds 3rd December:

 

Siempre – always

todos los d ías – every day

normalmente / generalmente – normally

a menudo – often

algunas veces a la semana – a few times a week

a veces – sometimes

algunas veces al més –  a few times a month

una vez al més – once a month

nunca – never

 

Soler – to tend to

You can use the verb ‘soler’ instead of saying ‘normalmente’ or ‘generalmente’ – it means that you tend to do something, but remember to include another verb in the infinitive to make a full sentence.
